Background:
Owner, Doc Wixson’s personal experience and background in both, live music performance and the consumer electronics industries afford A.V.I.A. the ability to create sonically engaging as well as accurate and visually appealing designs.
The Company:
A.V.I.A. has been creating intelligent yet affordable Home Theaters, A/V distribution, Lighting and Automation solutions for homes and businesses in the North Georgia / Metro Atlanta area for more than 25 years. Doc and his team of experienced installers have installed hundreds of such systems, primarily throughout the Southeastern U.S. with additional jobs in Jamaica W.I., Ohio and New York, ranging from small intimate spaces to large environments that can accommodate the entertainment activities of even the most demanding host. Regardless of their size, they all share a common trait -- the theater experience.

Our specialized knowledge covers lighting, acoustics, control solutions, sightlines, seating, audio-video distribution, and various other related areas in theater and entertainment design. Our collaboration with some of the most highly regarded cabinet builders and basement re-finishers in the Southeast allows us to offer a completely turnkey finished product that will perfectly match the client’s desires and requirements. We completely understand the integration of various functional and aesthetic elements in the private theater or entertainment area and are therefore able to convert a typical basement space into a well-designed and technologically exciting environment.

Doc has worked with many of the best and brightest minds in the Consumer Electronics industry since 1978, both in the retail and manufacturing sides of the business. Many of his previous affiliations (e.g. Bill Low - AudioQuest, Gary Schenefield - THX Product Development and Licensing Group, Jerry Awbrey - Esoteric Audio U.S.A. and Walter Liederman –Hi Fi Buys) lent insights into the combination of the arts and sciences that are the Consumer Electronics industry.
